The Visitor Policy of Our Hospital

In accordance with the circular letter of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health dated 13.03.2020 and numbered E.535, “Covid -19 Pandemic Guidelines for Healthcare Workers and  Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines and Operating Regulation on Inpatient Treatment Institutions”; The patient visitor rules to be applied in our hospital are arranged as follows:

1.  Our visitors who come for patient visits are taken inside on foot from the main entrance door of the hospital in order to ensure the safety of our patients. The registration process is performed  by taking the identity information of the visitor in the guard house department. No visitation is allowed  outside of visiting hours.

2.The  visiting hours of our hospital are between 16.00 pm-17.00 pm and 18.00 pm -19.00pm.

3. The  visits are made outside the patient rooms and services for patients who are not deemed appropriate to leave their room by their physicians.

4. Only one visitor is allowed to visit the patient in aim to meet the demands of the patients who are not deemed appropriate to leave their room by their physicians.

5. The duration of the visit should be kept as short as possible (not more than 15 minutes).

6. The large groups of visitors are not permitted.

7. It is forbidden to visit patients who have one of the infectious and epidemic diseases or whose visit is inconvenient for any reason.

8. The precautions such as keeping social distance, use of mask, providing hand hygiene should be strictly complied during the visit.

9.It is not allowed to patient’s accompaniment except for medical necessity.

10. It is important not to insist on the visit of our patients who are forbidden to be visited by their physicians for medical reasons.

11. The individuals who have complaints such as fever, cough, common cold, as well as people who have an infectious disease or who are  at risk of becoming infected, and the children under the age of 10 should not visit our patients due to their low body resistance. However; in some cases, the visit of the patient's children and siblings may be allowed with the approval of the Chief Physician / Specialist Physician since the visit of the children has positive effects on the recovery of the patient with the requirement to comply with infection control principles.

12. The flowers are not accepted in patient rooms in aim to protect our patients from infection

13. It is forbidden for visitors to bring food and drink for the health and safety of our patients.

14. The attention should be paid to hand hygiene; hands should be washed or disinfected before and after the visit.

15. If it is possible, the patient and the visitor should meet in the rest area outside the patient's room or in the cafeteria since the patient rooms are not single-occupancy in our hospital.

16. The medical equipment in the patient's room should not be touched and the patient's bed should not be sat on against the risk of infection and transmission during the visit.

17. The visitors should leave the patient’s room and pay attention to patient privacy during the treatment, examination and care procedures of our patients

18. It is not allowed to smoke inside the hospital.

19. it is not allowed to speak loudly and make noise in the hospital for the health and tranquility of our patients. It is requested that mobile phones be used in silent mode.

20. It is important that our visitors comply with the hospital’s  visiting policy in terms of not interrupting the treatment of our patients, their privacy and the hygiene of the service they are treated.

21. The supervision of compliance with patient visiting policy is the responsibility of healthcare workers of the services, hospital security guards and the duty officers.

22. The patients’ rooms should be left without waiting for the warnings of the hospital staff at the end of the visiting hour. It should not be insisted on the extension of the visit period. The warnings of our security guards  should be taken into account.
