History of Our Hospital
Gaziler Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital was established in aim to carry out physical, psychological and social rehabilitation of veterans under contemporary conditions, provide continuous medical care for individuals with disability and perform physical therapy programmes to all patients.This hospital was built as a gift to the heroic sons of our country by our appreciative nation.
Our hospital, which was established with the name of "Turkish Armed Forces Rehabilitation and Care Center", was built by the donations collected as a result of the great interest shown by the Great Turkish Nation to the "Come on Turkey, Hand in Hand with Mehmetçik" campaign which is organised by "Ankara Journalists Association" and "TRT Institution" with the coordination of TSK ELELE Foundation. The groundbreaking ceremony of the hospital was performed on December 9,1996 and it was put into service on April 21, 2000 with the participation of the 9th President, Mr. Süleyman Demirel, and Government officials.

-Gazi Harmony House and 19 Eylül Sports Facilities are located.
Gazi Harmony House was built and put into service on September 19, 2004 in order to support the treatment of veterans and contribute to their therapy and rehabilitation programme by spending time alone in nature. Disability Sports Club, which consists of sports teams in various branches,was established in aim to increase the veterans’ participation in social life, contribute to their physical development and assit them acquiring a professional career. 19 Eylül Sports Facilities, which consists of amputee football, archery, shooting fields and facility building, were put into service for our veteran sportsmen/sportswomen.
Our hospital has the feature of being one of the leading rehabilitation centers not only in our country but also in the world by using new technological devices, scientific treatment methods and rehabilitation procedures since its inception.
Our hospital continues to develop with the aim of enabling disabled people to become individuals who can overcome the physical, psychological and social difficulties in their social lives with a sense of confidence.In each department, a special structure was made according to the demands of the patients.
Our hospital, which was served as a "Turkish Armed Forces Rehabilitation and Care Center " within the Turkish Armed Forces until 2016 and assigned to the Turkish Ministry of Health with the decree law dated July 31,2016 by being renamed as “Gaziler Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital”, continues to be a reliable, preferred and pioneering health institution in the provision of health services.
50 Bedded Nursing Home, 50 Bedded Patient Guesthouse, Gazi Harmony House and 19 Eylul Sports Facilities serve within the the Ministry of National Defense General Directorate of Management Services ,Veterans Social Rehabilitation Center.
