It is defined as a unit dealing with the maintenance, repairing and calibration of medical devices, providing consultancy service for newly purchased medical devices, preparing technical specifications, making technical evaluations and acceptances. Duties are determining and repairing the medical devices that are not covered by periodic maintenance and guarantee, arranging the maintenance form of the medical devices for which periodic maintenance and repairing are made, following up the daily malfunctions and shutting it down from the system when it is terminated, reporting the materials used during the malfunction to the warehouse stock unit regularly. Periodically calibrating medical devices that require calibration and preparing reports, supporting the planning of new medical devices to be purchased , supporting the relevant units in the preparation of the technical specifications of the medical devices to be purchased, taking part in the acceptance and inspection procedures of the medical devices in accordance with the relevant contract provisions, taking part as technical personnel in the procurement commission for medical device purchases,examining new and high-tech medical devices and/or materials before purchasing, being a member of the organization for planning, monitoring and controlling of the annual maintenance, repairing and calibrating service contracts of high-tech medical devices, providing technical support in planning the assembly and installation of the medical devices and preparingtechnical files (technical examination report) arranged within the scope of investment planning.Inventory-warehouse-stock unit consists of two parts.Additionally  the unit fulfills the following duties; communicating with units and companies about caring, repairing and calibrating of medical devices, determining the annual material needs and making the demand, preparing all kinds of official correspondence, tracking and filling incoming and outgoing documents, caring and repairing the hospital central gas system and its’ connected alarm and security systems, systematically checking the current condition of the medical gases and determining the needs for gas supply, replacing empty medical gas tanks with the new ones and filling the liquid oxygen tanks.
