Within the scope of the protocol signed between the Turkish Green Crescent Society and our hospital, the fifth Green Crescent Meeting and Training, planned to be held regularly, took place on July 21, 2026, with the participation of our veterans, our hospital's chief physician, administrators, and staff.
The signed cooperation protocol includes practices such as preparing addiction prevention training programs for our patients and staff, referring individuals at risk of addiction to psychotherapy and social support processes through Green Crescent Counseling Centers (YEDAM), and sharing informative materials on addiction prevention.
At the meeting, attended by our veterans, our chief physician, and relevant administrators and staff, Green Crescent personnel provided information on gambling addiction, including: What is addiction?, What is behavioral addiction?, What is gambling addiction?, What are the symptoms, stages, and risk factors of gambling addiction?, What types of gambling are played today?, How is gambling addiction treated?, and What is YEDAM (Green Crescent Counseling Center)? A presentation was given where these topics were discussed and the veterans' questions were answered.
